What is the World Series?

The World Series is the grand final between the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere to see who is the world's best coffee roaster. This first World Series was held in 2022 in Hawaii, USA.

All previous overall Golden Bean North America champions and winners in Gold and Silver will be eligible to compete vs. their Australasian counterparts in the World Series.

There will be one Overall Champion and one Large Chain-Store Champion (+20 stores).

There will also be a trophy for the runner-up in both these awards.

There are Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for each category: Espresso, Milk and Filter.

How it works

To be eligible for the World Series, you have to have competed in a previous Golden Bean competition.

All Gold and Silver medal winners are then eligible to enter into the World Series.

Every single Overall Champion from every year of the Golden Bean are able to enter.

Format

Entering is $500 and you are judged in three categories.

Milk, Espresso and Filter.

There is no limit on green bean cost and no restriction on roasting method.
