To become the overall Golden Bean Champion, and take home a custom Reg Barber made Golden Bean Trophy, roasters need to enter a coffee into three categories:

Espresso, Milk-Based & Filter

Winners of all other categories are awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, but scores do not contribute to Overall Champion.

New category in 2022: The Elite

The Elite is a new category in 2022 and there is no limit on the green bean cost. All other categories are limited to $60 per kilo.

Please note: It is the responsibility of the roaster to choose the delivery date of their coffee (within the window of dates advised) to ensure it is at its best on the days of judging.
